Workplace Solidarity

As the COVID-19 Public Health crisis began to escalate in Philadelphia and across this country, it quickly became clear that our city’s most precarious workers would be the most deeply impacted. Many working people are facing the prospect of losing their income and their health insurance, while others are going to work every day facing dangerous conditions with inadequate protections.

Philadelphia Jobs with Justice established a Solidarity Committee with the purpose of bringing together activists in the broader labor community in solidarity with each other and with community struggles for social justice, economic justice, and racial justice in our region.  In times like these, it is more important than ever that we stand together in support of each other.  An injury to one is an injury to all. If you are interested in joining our Solidarity Committee to mobilize for workers’ rights, please contact John Braxton: jwbraxton@gmail.com.
